My Outlook 2013 CPU is now at 0%. looking OK, but Outlook took quite a while to start..Was looking OK at first, then I noticed that the CPU was being chewed up again. Open Outlook 2011 without running schedules or trying to connect to a mail server. It saves me so much time in seeking and archiving mails and responsesPlans without action are a daydream.

The problem occurs if I have an e-mail open (any message), whether minimized or not. In my case, cpu load went up to 30-40% as soon as Outlook 2013 was started and remained there for extended periods of time. Thanks!! In a nutshell, I turned off options I didn't use or need.

I see the same issue and the same behaviour as Vitamin C and ShaolinMonkfish; mso.dll, [email protected] Outlook 2013 High Cpu Usage I'm using Outlook only occasionally, and its CPU usage doesn't seam to correlate with my interaction with it. Update - 6 November 2012 Alastair Brown reports that upgrading to version 14.2.3 solved the issue. and moving everything into it.
While it may not be entirely necessary to rename the SocialConnector.DLL file .old, I highly recommend it, as the Office repair installation may skip over the file if it detects it’s I had previously tried to clean this up without success. I checked my Outboxes and nothing was in any of them. I can run that seperately later but this was a pain in the bum...so slow...thanks very much indeed.
Other than closing any e-mail messages, theonly workaround that works is restarting Outlook. Companion Link support swore they weren't the culprits because my issue with Outlook was when viewing email only, which is correct. Outlook responding as it should too. I was hoping this wasn’t causing the problem, since I need to be able to access my Exchange account. I however still have an issue. This high CPU usage issue seems to related to the Contact management features of Outlook. My Outlook 2013 is part of Office 365, if that makesa difference.
