0 0 10/05/12--07:53: DFS and Temporary files Contact us about this article I'm cool with the fact that DFS doesn't replicate temporary files, what Hi,I had the same problem. check these guys out

Here is the most recent list of event ids: 5012 5004 5014 4008 4102 I have tried to remove all items under the replication of DFS Manager. The issue started when we had to shut down the servers to temporarily relocate them while the server room was being re-done. I am very happy that I came across this during my search for something regarding this.

If yes, could you please point me to it or to another ‘official’ link? Rebuild Dfs using Dfs Manager and restore missing files if necessary. I have re-created all of the DFSR groups that deleted themselves, and all but two are now working. I then proceeded with the remainder of the tasks I needed  to complete to finish the job.

C:\>icacls C:\ /remove:g *S-1-5-11 C:\: Access is denied. Anyway, we rectified the AD issue and in someway while I was trying to setup DFS replication the first time, it made two replication groups of the same name and configuration. Privacy statement  © 2016 Microsoft. http://www.stumphdev.net/2016/06/16/dfs-replication-error-private-folders-overlaps-with-an-existing-replicated-folder/ I restarted DFS services, restarted the servers, etc.

Also, how to prevent this from happening in the first place, otherwise DFS is going to be much higher maintenance than it should be...

That'll do it. No I'm finding that, when a user connects via VPN, those H: drives aren't mapping.  Logging into the laptop offline (no network at all), the H: drive has been apparently mapped Can anyone help?  Thanks  KhanhLN ______________________________________________________________________________ Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

I have re-created all of the DFSR groups that deleted themselves, and all but two are now working.

However, there was an issue with the iSCSI attached storage, which caused most, if not all of the DFSR groups to completely stop working. I cannot see the groups I just deleted, so it seems that they are deleting properly. After that I rebiulded the connections with the receiving partners and restarted the DFS Replication service. This MUST be a tough one. 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 Message Author Comment by:amuleta ID: 201497562007-10-25 Good article here: http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=170795&seqNum=2&rl=1 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1
